Professor Van Furth, a Pediatric Infectious Disease experts at the Vrije University in Amsterdam and Canon Tutu married last week Wednesday in the Netherlands.
The wedding will be celebrated in Cape Town South Africa in May of this year.
Her father Desmond Tutu, a popular pro-gay rights activist said he will do anything in his power to fight the oppression of gay people all around the world.
Canon Tutu, the youngest daughter of Desmond & Leah Tutu was previously married to Joseph Burris. The couple had 2 daughters before their marriage collapsed.
She is an ordained Episcopal priest.
