Former Political Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak, has declared himself as the new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Gulak was at the Wadata Complex of the national secretariat of the country’s main opposition party on Wednesday, where he took over the PDP’s structure.
Addressing newsmen at the secretariat, the former Adviser said he is taking over as the party’s boss based on a court ruling that someone from the north east is qualified to succeed the former chairman of the party, Adamu Mu’azu.
Gulak stormed the Wadata complex in the Wuse Zone 5 area of Abuja with a large contingent of fully armed security operatives.
It would be recalled that Jonathan, in April 2014, sacked Gulak as his Adviser.
