Queen Okwukwe Nwoko Ejected From Palace For Watching Pornographic Movie Inside Palace

Queen Okwukwe Nwoko, The Wife Of Obi Agbogidi Nwoko III, of Idumuje-Ugboko Kingdom Ejected For Watching Blue Film Inside Palace

This is not the best of times for Queen, Okwukwe Nwoko, who was allegedly ejected from the palace over allegation of infidelity.

Okwukwe got married to His Royal Majesty, Obi Agbogidi Nwoko III, of Idumuje-Ugboko Kingdom in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State in 2010 as the fourth wife but ended up being the only wife to the 90-year-old monarch as two of the previous wives were divorced while the third died some years ago.

Trouble started three years ago for her when members of the royal family, allegedly championed by the Crown Prince, Nonso Nwoko accused Okwukwe of infidelity and consequently ejected her from the palace.
Members of the family contended that the monarch was not responsible for the pregnancy that resulted in the birth of a baby girl by Okwukwe, after the alleged act of infidelity. The girl is now three years old.

Although efforts to contact Prince Nonso failed, a member of the royal family, Prince Obi Nwoko who spoke with Sunday Sun reporter said Okwukwe was “caught watching blue film” at the palace, adding that her mind was so corrupt and, therefore, not fit to be the wife of the king.
“She was sent out because of pregnancy from outside. We have evidence to show for it. Many issues were raised before she was sent out. She was proved to have committed the offence before we arrived at that decision. It was collectively agreed that she be sent out. It was not a one-man decision,” Prince Obi Nwoko said.
Prince Obi insisted that the last child of the king is an 11- year old girl, Celine, and not the child being paraded by the ejected queen, adding that the royal household rejected the idea of going for DNA test due to several unresolved issues.
But Okwukwe stoutly denied the allegations, and maintained that she was unjustly ejected from the palace to create room for the Crown Prince to succeed his father while he is still alive but in miserable condition due to lack of care.
Narrating her ordeal in the hands of her accusers, Okwukwe said that one morning when she drove into the palace grounds, she was told to leave the palace for good, adding that efforts to address perceived grievances were rebuffed.
Her words: “It was on October 1, 2012, when I was told to leave the palace. The boys said that Nonso Nwoko, first son of the Obi, the Crown Prince, said I should leave the palace. Prince Martins Nwoko, brother of the Obi, all joined hands to force me out. They sent two boys to drive away me from the palace. They threw away my property. When my family members went to the palace, they drove them all away. They said they didn’t want to see any of us in the palace.
“I was in the fifth month of pregnancy then, and ever since, I have not seen my husband and he has not seen me. Even when I delivered, I sent a message to the Obi that I had delivered, but one of his brothers said the Obi and I do not have any connection. They called the baby a bastard and stressed that they don’t want a bastard in the palace. They said they do not want any woman to be close to the Obi. Now the Obi is suffering, and there is nobody to help him, no wife. After that the boys seized my car, went to the market square, carried everything from my store and padlocked the store.
“Later, the second daughter of the Obi, Uzor, said they don’t want any woman near the palace again, that their father has been ruling for a long time and that anybody trying to send me back to the palace would fail.
“They blocked the joint account I was using with my husband. All the places we used to collect money, they blocked everywhere, giving me no access to any money again. They said nobody would help me. My father is late, and so there is nobody who can help me to fight the battle.
“My husband is now suffering. Any man that comes to me, they would warn the man, saying why are you going near Obi’s wife? But they are not maintaining me as Obi’s wife. They seized my car, my land and everything that is due to me in the palace,” she alleged.
According to her, when she offered to have the child undergo DNA test to ascertain the paternity of the baby or she be allowed to take the traditional oath to prove her innocence, her accusers refused and insisted on the ejection based on the allegation of infidelity.
She appealed to the Obi-in-Council, opinion leaders and concerned stakeholders to intervene.
“I want to go back to the palace and take care of my husband. The law is that as soon as you are married to the Obi legally, you cannot marry another person,” Okwukwe said. A community source said that the relationship between the embattled queen and the monarch was cordial before the recent development.
The source said: “She is a victim of other people’s manipulation. They conspired against her because of her influence in the community. She has been organizing women in the area. And so, people seeking power do not like her. Their foothold was that when she was pregnant, His Royal Majesty was too old to impregnate her and as such they concluded that she got pregnant outside the palace.”
According to the source, the Obi was not allowed to even address the matter, alleging that those around him were shielding him from other members of the community while he was silently suffering in the hands of his family members.

Pastor Drops Dead, Hours To Ministering At Burial Service In Delta

The leadership of St. John’s Anglican Church, Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government  Area of Delta State was thrown into confusion when the church vicar, scheduled to lead a team of  ministers at a funeral service, suddenly died after he was rushed to hospital.

Venerable Stephen Eseteru Ogue, JP, 53, author of several Christian books, including ‘Escathology: The rapture of the Saints’, ‘Foundation for marital bliss’ and ‘The potential power of the Holy Spirit’, died at about 7.45 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015, two hours  before he was billed to officiate at a funeral service. Until his sudden death of cardiac arrest at Lily Hospital, Deco Road, Warri, the Anglican venerable, according to his first daughter, Oghenenyoreme Ogue, was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.

The hearse conveying the remains of the  woman whose burial the pastor was supposed to preside at, mourners, including a large delegation of the church’s Women Guild as well as members of the Anglican Fasting and Prayer Society, had gathered in front of the church building as early as 9.25 a.m. for the service billed for 10.00 a.m.

Unaware of the tragedy that had occurred, the mourners, who had been warned the previous night against lateness to the funeral service, waited patiently for the officiating ministers to receive the body at the West Door (entrance of the church) in accordance with Anglican doctrine but no pastor was in sight. Meanwhile, other members of the church and visitors kept trooping into the church premises for the funeral service.

Worried by the development, members of the mourning family began to  call the vicar’s phone line and a voice answering to urge them to be patient. The calls to Reverend Friday Erutere, billed to assist the venerable at the funeral service, were initially ignored until he answered to similarly sue for patience, saying he was on his way to the church.

Erutere, who conducted the service of songs with Rev. Wisdom Eghagha, the previous night, had  warned against lateness, stressing that, in Anglican Church, such lapse  attracts a fine of N10,000.

After about 45 minutes delay, a Toyota car, said to be owned by the vicar/archdeacon, hurried into the church premises and made its way straight to the staff quarters, to the  relief of those waiting  outside the church. Immediately, people started regrouping around the hearse with the hope that the service would soon begin. But, the relief soon turned to despair when the regrouping band of mourners discovered that the occupants of the car were  only two female members of the family and the pastor’s  driver.

The waiting had just begun. In the anxiety, nobody observed that the car, which was later learnt to have taken the venerable out of the church premises that early morning, did not bring him back. The only occupants of the car at that moment besides the driver, were his wife, Felicia and his eldest daughter, Oghenenyoreme.

Eventually, 60 minutes after the scheduled time of service, Erutere, accompanied by two others, arrived at the West Door to officially receive the corpse and proceeded  with the funeral service.

Despite the commencement of proceedings, anxiety was still palpable as church members continued to ask after the whereabouts of the venerable, who had, on several occasions, enjoined members of the Women’s Guild to be punctual for that particular service and had promised to lead the church delegation to Okpara Inland for the interment. Nobody was providing answers to questions. Not even his assistant who, some observed later, appeared agitated and confused to the extent that, for the first time in a funeral service, there was no communion and there was no offertory. By far, the most worrisome was the  treatment accorded the National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, who took time off his church’s  three -day crusade at the Warri Township Stadium, as a mark of honour for the fallen mother.

As the mourners departed the church for Okpara Inland, venue of the interment, there was no word about the sudden death of the vicar of the Agbarho church where another Anglican canon, Rev. Benedict  Akpoguma, took over proceedings. Put simply, neither the mourners nor well wishers, who had travelled from long distances, including Mr. John Salubi of the NNPC, Dr. Francis Eghwubare of Delta State University, Mr. Joshua Onoronimighwu of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Victor Onogagamue of Delta State Sports Commission, Barrister Joseph Ogedegbe, and a  former NBA  Chairman of Ughelli Local Government,  were briefed on the reason for the funeral’s delay.

When a Vanguard correspondent visited the home of the vicar, the wife [Felicia] was lying on the bed despondent with a few church members shielding her and making sure her health condition did not degenerate. Only the first daughter, Oghenenyoreme, could volunteer comments, although, she was unable to explain the mystery behind the death of her father,  as, according to her, they were trained to submit to the will of God in all circumstances.

However, the daughter said they had prayed together that morning in accordance with family tradition, without any visible signs of danger, and the ebullient father retired to the couch in the sitting room apparently to relax.

“After a while, I noticed that daddy was no longer breathing normally and I raised the alarm to draw my mum’s attention. She quickly called the driver and we carried him to the car and drove straight to the hospital in Warri.

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka Punished By Catholic Church, Move Into One Room Apartment

At last, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka has bowed out of Christ The King Parish of the Catholic Church in Enugu after 20 years of faithful service.
The entire Enugu stood still for Mbaka yesterday as over 30 lorries accompanied by thousands of his followers escorted him to Our Lady Parish.

He is now serving under another priest.
Mbaka however told his faithfuls that he will suffer, moving from a duplex to a room in his new parish but asked them not to worry that God has bigger plans for him.
Hear his words:
“I know we are going to suffer; between now and few months to come, I am going to suffer; I am going to suffer because I have no place to lay my head; I am going to suffer because I have no place to keep the Ministry’s assets; I know I am going to suffer because I have not lied. It’s going to happen in the month of Lent; so I am going to use my exit here to observe the Lent. But Jesus said it to His apostles in John 16:20, ‘You will be sorrowful and the world will be rejoicing but very soon I will turn your sorrows to joy.’ So I am waiting for that moment because for now I know we are going to suffer. The Adoration Ministry is passing through suffering right now; even though I have accepted it as the will of God; it is the will of God through suffering; it is a mega suffering. But however, the grace of God will carry us all; even though some of you may pray that God should remove this thorn from us, the scripture says ‘His grace is sufficient for us; for its even in your weakness that the power of God is demonstrated. So we are moving but don’t forget the scriptures, ‘my brothers they make me keeper of vineyards, my own vineyard I keepeth not. All these while we have been keeping vineyards, building for Christ The King Parish…Bishop Gbuji asked them, how much …but because I don’t want to disclose my charity, they can’t keep that account. How many trailer loads of cement came here? All the monies I made from my cassette and other private crusades all of them were used to build this church. We cannot quantify it but let God be glorified.”
“It is the will of God; and when the will of God either permissive or however, happens, nobody should question it. All you have today is Amen.”

Nollywood Actress Bimbo Akintola: I Will Rather Die Single Than To Enter Marriage Bondage

Popular actress and show host, Bimbo Akintola, is unapologetically single. She had said in many interviews that she’d rather die single than screw self into a bondage in the name of marriage.
Now in her 40s, the lady of charm and brains said she had no relationship the last time she granted an interview to Daily Sun, but shortly after, another interview revealed that the effervescent actor insists she doesn’t need marriage to be happy.
The only known and celebrated romance she had was with Dede Mabiaku with whom she was a friend for two years before the dalliance culminated into dating. The 43-year-old dated Dede for years, but after a while, the duo reviewed the relationship and felt they were going to be better off as friends. So, they called it quits and from that point on remained friends.
Bimbo Akintola certainly needs a ‘kind’ of man she’s yet to find and she’d rather remain single than compromise her belief about marriage. More so that her parents have been married for over 50 years.

Niger Delta Militants Kidnap Oil Workers & Seize Oil Ship, Give Buhari 31 Days To Release KalU

A group of Niger Delta militants in support of the agitation by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed responsibility for the hijack of a ship on Friday along the Bakassi Pennisula Nigeria coastal line.

The group, which recently gave the Federal Government a 31-day ultimatum to release Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader and Director of Radio Biafra, said the concerned Niger Delta agitators were abreast with the incarceration of Kanu.

Spokesperson of the group, who gave his name as General Ben, threatened that they would blow up the vessel with the expatriates onboard, if the government continues to dilly-dally over Kanu’s release.
Speaking in Port Harcourt yesterday, the group’s spokesperson declared that they would not wait till the end of the ultimatum, before showing their seriousness.
Ben stated: “We cannot wait till the end of the 31 days to tell the Federal Government that we are serious. The vessel and the crew are under custody.
And any noise, any delay from government, we will blow up everything. We will blow the vessel and everybody in the vessel will go down. “We are not interested in the country that owns the vessel. What we know is that the vessel was coming to Nigeria to lift oil. We are not interested;; once it is blown up, let the country and Nigeria resolve the matter.
“We are in touch with everything happening around the IPOB leader.

Now, court has denied him bail, saying because of his dual citizenship, he might jump bail. We also heard that the judge said he would rather give the matter an accelerated hearing.
This is provocative;; hence we did not waste time to go into action. We are in support of the Biafra struggle.
We will not retreat or surrender. “The federal government might have taken our ultimatum as an empty threat. But, we will surprise them,” he stated.
Also, the group reacted to the Supreme Court verdict, which upheld the appeal filed by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, saying that it saved the state from bloodshed.
Ben said the state would have been overwhelmed by crisis, warning any government against sabotaging the IPOB agitation of the consequences.

Jussie Smollett a.k.a Jamal Of TV Series Empire, Comes As A Gay Man

Jussie who rose to fame following the success of FOX network series “Empire” playing the character of Jamal Lyon who ironically is also gay has finally admitted to playing on the same team.

Sometime back in March of last year, he had been asked on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” if he was a closeted gay man but he had evasively dodged the question by saying that he was never in a closer and that that he preferred to keep his personal life private.

According to him, he is a gay man with an open heart and that love is the only thing that matters. He has however said that he may still consider being with women if he falls in love with a woman.

He has said that all sexualities especially heterosexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality are very real and that people need to understand that.

Nollywood actor and producer Kunle Afolayan and one of his female fans were engaged in a war of words on twitter today as the female fan called him lout for responding to criticism of his craft.

It all started when a Nollywood website criticized Kunle’s upcoming movie “The CEO” and he came on social media to point out to them that their analysis is wrong as he has produced top notch actors and won several awards for his productions.

A female fan however thought that he should have taken the criticism in stride and not be very emotional but the entertainer didn’t let her rest there as he took to calling the fan a talkative and she responded back.

The female fan said that she is a big fan of Kunle and he should stop making enemies out of people that shouldn’t be his enemy as she for one buys all his movies and not the pirated.

I Regret Social Media Outburst With Wizkid - Skales

Nigerian Musician Raoul John Njeng known by his stage name Skales has expressed regret for exchanging words with his former record label mate Wizkid on social media.

Speaking on Multi TV's 'Let's Talk Entertainment', Skales said: "That's one of the mistakes I made and I feel like I'm growing in the eyes of the public so definitely, I know that you can never benefit from things like that. So I've become a better person now, I'm more grown now, I've realized that I'm a role model, a lot of people look up to me and so there's some mistakes I cannot do".

Skales recently accused Wizkid of allegedly stealing his hit song 'Azonto' and claiming that he wrote the lyrics of Wizkid's 'Superstar' song.

Wizkid responded in a series of tweets saying it was just a public stunt by Skales to promote his new song 'Je Kan Mo'. The controversy raged on for a while between the two.

Regretful Skales who says the issue has been resolved said, "I'm a human being, I must make mistakes and the only way is if I correct myself and make myself a better person".

He however warned that he will come after anyone who steals his song saying, " if you steal my lyrics, I'm coming for you.

For now nobody has stolen my lyrics because I only play my music to my team if I want to play to other people to hear, I can put it on snap chat".

On protecting his songs, Skales said, "this is your exclusive material and you don't want it to be out yet so just let it be between your team so you that if it gets out you hold your team responsible for it but for now, protect it like it's your life".

Skales also debunked speculations by some entertainment pundits that the Nigerian media do not support works by Ghanaian musician.

He said, Sarkodie's 'Illuminati', 'Azonto Fiesta' and 'Adonai' with Castro, Joey B's Tonga, D Black's 'Red Card', including Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy's songs and other Ghanaian songs are very popular in the Nigeria music circles.

Skales stressed that, " The Tonga beat is raining in Nigeria, everybody dey do that kind song. They call it Tonga beat".

The 'Shake Body' singer hopes to collaborate with Edem, D Black, Sarkodie, Fuse ODG, Stonebwoy and other musicians.

The musician, who is owner of OHK record label but not signed onto it says, it is a business move because the label is not performing well like the one he his signed unto.

"I had to sign to Baseline Records because I had bigger plans and things I wanted to do but OHK is still going on, because I own it with a couple of friends of mine so for now, every one of my project is signed under baseline.

#DasukiGate EFCC Arrests Former Chief Of Air Staff Over Arms Deal

Former Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Adesola Amosu, has been reportedly apprehended by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The retired Air Force officer was also detained by the anti-graft agency over his alleged role in the arms procurement fraud.

SaharaReporters reports that Amosu is being investigated amongst other acts for allegedly authorizing the purchase of two helicopters without functional rotors.

The online journal quoted a source to have disclosed to it that the suspect compelled two Air Force officers to fly in one of the helicopters after the craft was equipped with a rotor that was taken from an unserviceable Russian-made helicopter gunship.

The air force officers died in a crash near Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, because the rotors fitted on their chopper was too heavy.

According to the report, EFCC investigators had so far traced nine luxury homes to Amosu, including an imposing property in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State.

It would be recalled that Amosu was among retired and serving military officers ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari to be investigated by the EFCC.

Obasanjo Introduced Curruption To National Assemble - Dino Melaye

Lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, has accused former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, of introducing corruption into the national assembly.

In a counter statement on Thursday, the Senator explained that Obasanjo did so when he attempted to lure lawmakers to support hi botched third term bid.

Melaye said though he respects the former Head of State, but the Ota farmer is showing traces of misplaced anger.

Obasanjo had written a letter to the National Assembly accusing it of being outrageous in its planned procurement of 469 cars worth N4.7 billion.

Melaye said in his response that, “I have tremendous respect for President Olusegun Aremu Okikiola Obasanjo. Elder statesman, respected pan Africanist and committed patriot. I went through the letter written to all senators and members of the House of Representatives. The letter I can see is a misplacement of anger.

“Our leader is mistaking the eighth National Assembly as the same senate assembly that defrauded him in 2007; those who collected his money and refused to implement the 3rd term agenda. I appeal to baba that we are not the ones please. After nine years of that bribery saga, the first of its kind, I expect forgiveness to have taken place.

“There was the case of bribery introduced by the Obasanjo regime in the desperate attempt to remove speaker Ghali Umar Na’abba from office then. In fact, there was open display of that bribery money on the floor of the house. That government exposed the national assembly to corruption and easy money. I hope this is not in an attempt to cover up and distract attention from the Halliburton and Siemens corruption allegations.

“While I am against corruption anywhere in Nigeria, I will not support accusations based on anger and vindictiveness. The eighth senate should also look inwardly and purge herself of all the deliberate misgivings of the past. Nigeria must work and we must support the anti corruption stand of the Buhari administration. God bless Nigeria.

IMSU Undergraduate & Friend Arrested For Raping Girl They Met On Whatsapp

Lagos State Police Command officials have arrested two undergraduates for allegedly raping a job-seeker, identified only as Nike, and robbing her of valuables in the Igando area of the state.

We learnt that the suspects, identified as Valentine and Kusimo, allegedly took turns to rape their victim after luring her into a hotel.

Valentine, an indigene of Imo State, was said to be seeing off the 27-year-old with the hope that she would not raise the alarm when Nike suddenly called for help.
The suspects were subsequently arrested and taken to the Igando Police Division.

The incident happened on Thursday, January 14, 2016, on Idowu Ibiyemi Street, in the Igando area of Lagos State.

A police source told our correspondent that Valentine and Nike had met on a dating site.
He said, “Valentine is a 400-level Civil Engineering student of a university in Imo State. He chatted up the lady on the dating site and from there, their conversation shifted to Whatsapp, a mobile messaging application.
“The suspect told his friend, Kusimo, about the girl and they decided to trick her. Kusimo, a student of a polytechnic in Ogun State, would sometimes take Valentine’s phone and be chatting with Nike, without the girl knowing that it was Kusimo.

“Having done that for some days, they decided to invite her to Lagos.”
It was gathered that Nike, an indigene of Osun State, travelled down from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where she was based, to the Igando area.
Our correspondent learnt that the victim and Valentine scheduled to meet at his house.

We gathered that instead of taking her to his apartment, the suspect took her to a popular hotel in the area.
The source said, “The girl did not know she was taken to a hotel because he took her through the back into the room.
“The second suspect, had, however, hid inside the toilet. As the lady entered the room, Valentine shut the door and Kusimo jumped out from his hideout with a bottle. He smashed the bottle on the ground and he told the girl to cooperate or they would kill her.

“While Valentine had two rounds, the second suspect had three rounds of sex with her. After they had raped her, they robbed her of her BlackBerry and N15, 000.
“In order to prevent her from exposing them, they took snapshots of her nakedness and threatened that if she told anyone about her ordeal, they would put the pictures on the Internet.”

We gathered that after committing the act, Valentine decided to see Nike off.
The victim was, however, said to have raised the alarm, drawing the attention of passersby.

She was said to have narrated what happened to people, which led to the arrest of both suspects.

The service director, Rasak Fadipe, said the officers were attacked at Idewu Street, Olodi-Apapa, Ajegunle and Odunsi Street in Surulere.

He described the officers as dedicated and hardworking, adding that their motive was to save lives and property.
According to him, the gallant officers responded to distress calls and were about to carry out their statutory duties when the hoodlums who wanted to loot saw them as obstacle and started attacking, stabbing and chasing them from the fire scene.
Fadipe explained that a senior officer was stabbed in the ear with a broken bottle; another was wounded in the head; others were manhandled.
“In order to prevent confrontation and breakdown of law and order, the officials retreated and ran for their lives. The mayhem was reported at Tolu and Itire Police stations and it led to the damage of a fire truck,” he said.
He hailed the Itire Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for intervening and rescuing the officers from further assault.
The fire boss appealed to the public to desist from damaging government facilities as tax payers money were expended on providing the amenities. The consequences of unwarranted but coordinated attacks on fire trucks, he said, were an indirect denial of dividend of democracy to others as the damaged truck cannot serve the need of Lagosians.

2Baba Reacts To Black Face For Calling Him Out Over Stolen Songs

Blackface who is trying to make a comeback into music accused 2Face of stealing songs from him and in an interview with Channels TV, @2Face has finally reacted to the allegations.

According to 2Baba, he said he does not know where the accusations are coming from and he had first thought that Blackface’s account was hacked. He said he finds the allegations unfortunate and is still trying to understand why.

He went on to reveal that Blackface with whom they used to be together in the now defunct Plantashun Boyz doesn’t seem him as a friend but that he on the other hand has nothing but love and respect for Blackface.

It would be recalled that asides from 2Face, Blackface also called out Wizkid saying that Wizkid’s megahit song “Ojuelegba” was actually stolen from him.

Blackface is not the only one that has accused Wizkid of stealing songs from him this year as Dammy Krane also alleged the same.
